Phase One
In order to
improve the MID2 Vehicle Compliance, on 18 April 2007 the MIB
launched a major new publicity campaign to raise awareness of
the issues that commercial drivers will face if they are stopped
by the Police because their vehicle details are not on the MID.

- this campaign supports Fleet managers and those who drive as
part of their work.
Supporting
leaflets
and
posters have been produced
for fleet managers reminding them of what they need to do, and
more importantly how they can provide vehicle data to the MID.
Phase Two
On 16 May 2007
the MIB launched
the second phase of a major national
publicity campaign aimed at ensuring that all commercial
vehicles are on the Motor Insurance Database.

other commercial vehicles.

to make company drivers aware that their vehicles should be on
the MID, and that they risk their vehicle being seized if they are
