  Non-UK Victims

If you are a non-UK victim of a motor accident which happened in your own country with a foreign registered vehicle, please contact the Green Card Bureau in your own country– this falls outside the scope of the 4th Directive. 

If you are a non-UK victim (or acting on behalf of the victim) of a motor accident that happened outside your own EEA country but 3rd party is UK vehicle, you can contact the UK Information Centre to obtain the insurance information of the third party (see forms below).

If you are non-UK victim of a motor accident that happened in the UK with a non-UK vehicle you can give the UK Information Centre at MIB details to obtain the insurance information on your behalf (call 0845-165-2800) or email ukinfocentre@mib.org.uk.

Enquiring with the UK Information Centre

If you are a non-UK victim (or their representative) of a motor accident that happened outside your own EEA country and the 3rd party is a UK vehicle please send a brief email to the UK Information Centre and specify:

  • the Vehicle Registration Mark of the UK vehicle

  • the date of the accident

  • the country where accident took place

  • your contact details
